I absolutely LOVED planning my wedding. My husband claims I was a total bridezilla, but I remember it differently. I recall enjoying every second of being able to plan a day all about me! Since my own wedding, I have wished that I could do it again. I have even pitched this idea to Darren (the husband). He hasn't caved..... yet.


One of the trends I have noticed that has been popping up in the last year is the "Krafty Wedding". This theme has been slowly growing on me and now I'm in love. Here are a few little details that I am swooning over these days. If only.....

A Year Ago

I can hardly believe that it has been a year since I said "I do" to Darren Christopher Hutslar. This year has been so much better than I ever imagined it would be. I think that since I didn't get married until I was 25 years old that I was much more prepared for what "real" married life was going to entail. I wasn't expecting it to be perfect... in fact I expected it to be pretty awful! That sounds horrible, I know, but you wouldn't believe how many people told me that their first year of marriage was the most difficult. So that's what I prepared myself for. I was pleasantly surprised that my first year of marriage was anything but hard. Yes, it was an adjustment for me to have to move all my stuff around to make room for him in a house I lived in by myself for three years. Yes, we've had some really difficult decisions to make over the last 365 days. And yes, we've had to face horrible circumstances together in the past few months. But what made this year so wonderful for me is just knowing that we have each other. Waiting so long for that made me realize that I don't need to focus on all the petty stuff... I just need to be thankful to have such an amazing person by my side and charish every day that he's here with me. I think that may have had something to do with this year being a good one.
