I can't get enough of it! It's so cool, refreshing, and romantic. Oh and my favorite ice cream is named after it so that automatically makes it awesome.

My sister is an amazing person. She has always been the "good child" in our family so it's no surprise to me that she turned out so awesome. But you know what? Being good is actually really hard and even though she has almost always done the right thing... it didn't come naturally. It happened because she decided she was going to be good. I am so proud of her and I just want to make sure she (and the rest of the world) knows it.
Heidi and her husband Daniel are currently serving on the mission field in Thailand. This would take way more sacrifice than I am sure 99% of the world would want to take (otherwise we would be doing it too). They literally packed up their entire lives here in the United States, put their belongings in storage, said goodbye to all their friends and family and went to a country exactly halfway around the world. So yeah. I think that constitutes as someone I should be proud of.
I love you, Heidi Rose Albert Boles! You have always been my hero and you still are today. I hope that it is ok to share your some pictures of your missionary adventure on my blog. I just HAD to do some bragging today. xoxo.

I have been in LOVE with this couch since the moment I saw it on Pinterest a few months ago. Today I decided to see if I could buy it. I searched and searched for it online only to find out that it was featured in a Country Home magazine article years ago so there is no way I could get the couch now (or slipcover... whichever it is). I was feeling very defeated, because this couch has so much personality and just inspires me. I would love to have it in my home. Plus it just happens to go with my current decor. It really is calling out to me.
Then I started thinking... I could just make my own, right? How hard could it be to make a slipcover? Then began the fabric search. This was just as hard as the original couch search, but I think I finally found what I need.
So what do you think? Should I do it? The fabric is perfect and I found an awesome tutorial here thanks to Remodelaholic.
OR.... I could paint it! No lie! People do it all the time. Just use fabric paint. There is a tutorial for that here by It's Great To Be Home.
The only problem is that I am such a chicken! I love it, but will anyone else? And will my room look as good as the room in the picture or will this just look like I am trying way too hard? And so goes the rest of my day.... actually I'll probably do this to myself for a month.

I absolutely LOVED planning my wedding. My husband claims I was a total bridezilla, but I remember it differently. I recall enjoying every second of being able to plan a day all about me! Since my own wedding, I have wished that I could do it again. I have even pitched this idea to Darren (the husband). He hasn't caved..... yet.
One of the trends I have noticed that has been popping up in the last year is the "Krafty Wedding". This theme has been slowly growing on me and now I'm in love. Here are a few little details that I am swooning over these days. If only.....

I thought I'd make a little banner to celebrate America's birthday! So here I am trying to untangle it as it keeps getting worse with each gust of wind....
And here I am 20 shots later about to give up on getting a picture that will work.

Fine! I'll quit pouting and give it one more go....
Happy 4th, everyone! God bless America!
